COVID-19 Update

To our Patients, Families and Friends,

We hope you are all healthy and we sincerely appreciate your patience during the COVID-19 crisis. As we approach seeing our patients again, it is important to update you on what precautions we are taking to ensure your safety. While our appointment process is different, you can be assured that preventing the spread of diseases is our primary concern. From treatment and reception room disinfection to strict use of personal protective equipment (PPE), the safety of patients and team members continues to be our top priority.

We have always practiced universal precautions to prevent the spread of disease. This includes the use of masks, gloves, glasses, and wrapped sterile instruments as well as clean and disinfected environmental surfaces. In addition, frequently touched surfaces such as door handles , chairs, desks, and bathroom are cleaned and disinfected often. Our HEPA air filtration system continues to operate 24 hours per day. We have removed all materials that are difficult to disinfect such as magazines and our refreshment station. Bottled water will be available upon request for your comfort.

Prior to coming for your next visit we ask that you follow a few extra steps to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

  1. Please take your temperature as we will ask to delay your appointment if your temperature exceeds 100 degrees or you are experiencing any respiratory symptoms.
  2. Please brush your teeth at home with your Plaque HD paste(our brushing station will not be available)
  3. Masks are not required for patients to wear to their appointments. Every member of our team wears masks for your protection.
  4. Please call upon arrival to our office and we will give directions as to when we will be ready to seat you to ensure social distancing and infection control etiquette can be followed.
  5. We ask that only the patient attend the appointment except for our younger patients who prefer to have a parent attend.

Upon entering the office, you can expect the following:

  1. The parent or patient, if 18 and over, will be asked to sign forms regarding COVID-19 and the consent to treatment before being seen.
  2. Antibacterial hand spray will be applied to your hands.
  3. Your temperature will be taken with a touchless thermometer.
  4. We will confirm that you are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.
  5. We will proceed with our scheduled adjustment and escort you to your car.
